Tertiary education

The University operates as an educational institution that offers 26 degree programs to approximately 13,000 students. Located in Castellón (one of the most mountainous provinces of Spain), the University was founded in the year of 1991 with the aim of becoming a dynamic and innovative university, and achieving excellence in teaching, research and in all the services it offers to society. The University is one of four public universities in the Valencia Community (Spain) and a leading Spanish university with one of the highest external resources for research and development rates per professor. Being an academic institution, it focuses its activity on the creation and transference of knowledge as well as on promoting the cultural and economic development of its social environment. It strives to provide an integrative education for its students which will allow them to participate in the progress of society and contribute to the achievement of pacific, non-discriminatory and responsible cohabitation that is, in addition, respectful of the environment.
