It has a registered head office located in Castellon, Spain. BP Oil Refineria de Castellon's activities include oil and natural gas exploration and field development and production. The company is also engaged in the production of petroleum lubricating oil and grease. BP Oil Refineria de Castellon's refinery is in Castellon, Spain, where it produces more than 6 million tonnes a year. The company markets and sells oil products including automotive gasoline and gas oil, marine and aviation fuels, heating gas oil, bitumen, lubricants, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). BP Oil Refineria de Castellon S.A. is globally owned by BP Oil Espana S.A., a Spanish-based company, which is known as one of the world's largest energy companies, providing its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services, and petrochemicals products for everyday items. In October 2006, BP Oil Refineria de Castellon S.A. has made an engineering and construction management contract with Foster Wheeler Iberia S.A. to build a new 43.5 megawatt double-fired delayed coker for BP's Castellon refinery in Spain.
